Founded by Barry Mackenzie and Gary Philpott in 1988, we have a proud history in providing individual airfreight solutions for more than 37 years. We started from scratch, and like all good things, it was with a vision, passion and a total devotion to our customers.
It all began with two industry agitators, Barry Mackenzie and Gary Philpott, who thought the air and sea freight supply chain in New Zealand could be done better. Drawing on their common knowledge and practical hands on experience of the freight business for many years, Barry and Gary founded Philpott Airfreight in Auckland. Their goal was simple: offer businesses dependable, tailor-made airfreight services overlooked by bigger players.
From humble beginnings and nothing but a small team and a giant dream, Barry and Gary made a name for themselves with their ethics, attention to detail and the ability to always go one step further. They built solid relationships with the airlines, customs brokers, and local business and the rest is history, as they say.
